trauma informed

Claudia Orsi, LMFT

My passion for my work stems from my genuine respect for each individual unique life journey and challenges. Whether you are dealing with health challenges, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship challenges, or non adaptive behaviors due to a history of trauma, I believe that change is possible with the right type of support. I am here to walk through the journey of healing with you.

Optimal health is the result of tending to the relationship between mind, body and spirit. My approach to wellness, and how I believe change happens, is to utilize an integrative approach grounded in clinical practice and integrating the dimensions of mind, body and spirit in the healing process.. My practice focuses in a compassionate, safe, and non judgmental manner on you and supports you in developing the skills to live your desired life.

Hello and welcome to my website! I am a bilingual Italian-American psychotherapist. My passion is to find ways to help you achieve your goals and live a life that is congruent to your values and preferences. I believe that whether you are facing big or small challenges in life with the right type of support, you can resolve your inner conflicts and begin to live life to the fullest.

I believe that despite what happens to us, we have the power to construct meaningful lives through the stories we tell, the thoughts we choose to believe in, and the processing of traumatic memories and events that keep us otherwise stuck.

I believe that the role of a psychotherapist is to collaboratively and compassionately support you, the client, by carefully and closely listening to your story in a non judgmental way and begin the process of deconstructing problem filled narratives in order to expand your life and possibilities.

In my personal life I am committed to my community and I have a strong sense of community involvement and service. I believe that community engagement is also an important component of wellbeing and healing. I am currently serving on the Executive Board of the House of Pacific Relations and the Executive Board of the House of Italy within the International Villages community in Balboa Park supporting the Lawn Programs for cultural exchange and the organization of December nights. When I am not working or volunteering, I enjoy taking long walks with my dog Beaux, which I refer to as my spirt animal, .

I look forward to connecting with you and meeting you soon. Feel free to call me for a free consultation at 619-495-2993. .
